I was counselled for sliding artificial doggy doodoo on the PO's chair during the prayer. When he turned around he was ticked! Another time we had taped a fart machine with remote control under our bookstudy conducter's chair. Again, we pushed the button right after the prayer and everyone laughed at the conductor while his face was red and fuming. This was at the hall and the whole back row was all df'd and laughing. We thought we would bring some good cheer to that group for it was so depressing and come hall clean there was us and the conducter and his wife. The rest were all df'd and never came to help. And the conductor and his wife were the only ones we would be working with in service and at the study they were the only ones there we could talk to. BORING!

Most Ridiculous Thing You've Ever Been Counseled On
by MrFreeze ini'm sure topics like this have already come up but they tend to get hilarious with the absolute absurdity that goes on in the kh.
i was once counseled for not shaving after two days.
i was also counseled by a sister for eating lucky charms cereal.

Obviously, the kids father wasn't an elder. I say this because in our old hall pictures came up with two of our elders kids in the nude with a sister painting obsenities all over their bodies. Their two eighteen yearold boys were allowed to go to bethel but later on were kicked out of bethel for gossip travels fast. Plus, another time, these same two boys were caught drunk underaged and nothing was done.
I say great for that family for they have each other and they can move on all at the same time.

We agree! Just reading In Search of Christian Freedom and all I can say is wow! Although we were definitely duped, we can see there really is a way out and a much better place to go. Thank you Ray and Cinthia Franz.

Sad video. There's a young couple( eighteen years old) who came into this religion three years ago. He is now an ms. His wife's mother was at the dentist the same time I was. I introduced myself to her and told her I am not a jw. The next sentence was how bad do you want your daughter and her husband out of this religion. She just broke down and said bad. That her and her husband notice a drastic change in the both of them, that they are more judgementel than ever. We exchanged phone numbers and then I had to go in to see the dentis. Fourty-five minutes later she is still waiting for me and we talked. I told her to sit tight and will be giving her my book of Steve Hassan combatting cult mind control. She said she would talk it over with her husband and that she would read the book. One thing that really annoyed her was last summer, her daughter had their six week old baby out in service and they were out for the whole day. It was 37 celcius and she said that poor kid was in the car all day. She was mad.
Maybe she will see that she is not alone if we show them this video.

Don't Miss the Meetings - Hebrews 10:24, 25 Re-examined
by Oubliette ini recently got an unsolicited lecture from a well-intentioned but nevertheless misguided jw friend.
the gist of it was that i needed to go to all the meetings or i would miss out on "everlasting life.".
i responded that i do not need to go to meetings to have a relationship with god.

Superboy, your answer is yes! If you want to learn doctrine and not the bible then go to your meetings. There are some really good Messianic Hebrew scholars that teach only the bible and the language along with the culture. So far, everyone of them say the same thing, get out of all religion. All religions have a golden calf that their followers have to follow.
These teachers don't ask for money, beleive in the resurrection, no hell, no trinity, believe in only two comings of the Messiah, ect... These are extrememly humble beings that just put it out there and use the scriptures to back up their teachings. And yes we do it in our home or other exjw's homes. We're in a relaxed frame of mind and afterwards we have great association. None of this robotic, miserable, cold, rude association. No false fronthoods. And yes we keep our weekly sabbath from Friday after sundown to Sat after sundown and keep the seven feasts. It really isn't burdensome at all.
What we do with what we learn is up to us. We have that freewill. Unfortunately, what we learn the jw's can't answer therefore call us apostates. And there's no timeslip to fill out.LOL We just follow what the bible commands us to follow and that's it.

Billy's Comments You Won't Hear at the 01-19-2014 WT Study (7 Shepherds, 8 Dukes)
by Billy the Ex-Bethelite in16-20. we shall also have to raise up against him seven shepherds, yes, eight dukes of mankind.mic.
what is the most important thing that you can do now to prepare for any future attack on gods people?.
all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.. .

Funny how the gb doesn't want to have their names associated with the words false prophets but after reading some of the articles that Blondie dug up, it`s like the gb has had this in the makings for a while. So they now have mastered the art of how to make their own prophesies about themselves come true without being known as prophets. Masters of deception for sure is what they are.

hello!
by gamergirl inglad to be a new member and find others with similarities of background.
some background info on me: my dad became jw when i was young, so i spent maybe a third of my life in the religion.
although i respect everyone's beliefs, i personally knew many genuinely selfless people in my congregation, but the way i was raised, now that i am an adult i am realizing was very sheltered and unrealistic.

a "worldly" (gasp) Catholic just showed my huaband what true integrity is
by nonjwspouse inhe was a tenant of ours in 2009 on a visa, but was unaware of all the rules, such as checking in with any new address.
after some time, although hardworking, he lost his job and began getting behind in rent.
he promised to keep paying as much as he could.

Faithful witness, I agree totally when it comes to hiring the mennonites. They are cheap and their workmanship is of good quality. They built our barn for us and did our eavestroughing around the house. However, I haven't met one that paints. I would hire them before anyone especially the witlesses.

The JEWS did not believe in a heavenly paradise...
by DATA-DOG inthat's what a speaker at the kh said.
he also said that "paradise" in the bible is always earthly.
i have reviewed jwfacts again here:.

That's not what we're listening to on Jewisheyes.org. They believe the Messiah has come and is coming again and the earth will be a paradise. Even Yeshuah stated in John 4:22 salvation begins with the jews. He didn't say a jew but the jews. There's a messianic hebrew movement that's multiplying worldwide and with no organisation, church or synogogues. No golden calf to follow.

Yeah, I hear you. The best part is when you go to tell the elders to take care of it, they end up coming to your home and reading the scripture on why not let yourselves be wronged. At least in our case that's what happened to us and the one elder that came was the very one who told another elder he will step over anyone to get to the top. When I look back in just the short time we were in, I think what a twilight zone. So glad we are out.
